Newly Launched Doy Pack Olives

Olives Doy PackWell, after a few weeks of negotiations with the buyer at Pick n Pay we finally have our new product on the market.
Goedgedacht’s Olives which are lovingly prepared by the meticulously hardworking team on Goedgedacht.

These olives were picked in the 2009 harvest season and have been cured traditionally in a light brine since then without any addition of chemicals.
They are called “Calamata Style” olives as they are unfortunately not the traditional Calamata but the “Mission” variety which came to this country from California.

They are very similar in both taste, shape and pit to flesh ratio and thus the term ‘Style’ used. These olives were introduced to California in the late 1700’s by the Franciscan Padres who journeyed North from San Blas, Mexico.
